- Bump In The Night
The Artemis is denied return from it's shakedown cruise as it's called to duty on Rexoma Prime. A predictable planet in the Calder system, Rexoma Prime's climate goes from tropical to hostile within months. On Prime, a Federation scientific research facility has gone out of contact for some time, and the lack of communication has since struck fear into the hearts of the Admiralty. With Starfleet's primary R&D response vessel, the USS Percival engaged near Zarn, the Artemis is the closest able bodied ship in the area. After meeting up in secret situations with a smuggler ship that will supply the Artemis for a mission, it's off to Rexoma Prime where the harsh radiation from the adjacent planet, Rexoma Theta, will be tricky to avoid. The investigation of the mysterious loss in communication will begin in orbit, but may take them to the planet's surface. Either way, the radiation will see to it that they remain alone out there, their orders clear, investigate, respond, and above all, be rid of all hostiles.
